Coal fires are a global challenge causing emission, health issues and loss of natural resources. Achuk helps solve this issue and that too without damaging coal.
Achuk was put to use at the live ‘Goa- Sonsodo Dumpsite’ fire in June 2019 using fire tender and hose. It not only put out the deep seated challenging fire on the slopes, but also suppressed the toxic fumes and smoke emitting through the spots; such that the fire could not rekindle.
Tyre fires are considered to be one of the most difficult fires to extinguish. Achuk can be easily dispensed through a pump and extinguishes the tyre fire easily with less quantity of material. Achuk retards smoke quickly and allows easy approach.
Achuk extinguishes the tyre fire with ease and safety, with less material and also arrests the smoke. Achuk can be easily dispensed through fire extinguisher.
Achuk out performs water mist in the 2A Wood crib tests as per IS/UL standards. Achuk extinguishes deep seated high temperature fire; while water mist is not so effective. Achuk also retards rekindling of fire.
Fire tests were conducted comparing the effectiveness of Achuk101 v/s ABC powder extinguisher on materials normally found in an army personal room – such as foam mattress, clothes, shoes, suitcase, desktop, monitor, mosquito net etc. Achuk101 6 Litre extinguisher extinguished the fire safely and easily. ON the contrary ABC powder 9 Kg extinguisher could not even control the flames. Another water extinguisher 9 Litre had to be used to douse the flames.
